Large unique platters that come in many styles, patterns and colors. You need to come in to the studio to really have the opportunity to look around. This could hang beautifully on the wall or in a plate holder (as displayed here) on your counter top or in a display cabinet.

Welcome to the Potters of Hickory Street

Welcome to THE POTTERS OF HICKORY STREET. We are located on North 8th and Hickory in Abilene, Texas. We have an amazing selection of handmade pottery made by our Friends in Texas. We have students from ages 6 all the way to 89.
Our Gallery is full right now and we are making new pots every day in preparation for the Holidays. Start shopping early! If you want to add your own flair to the pieces, come and paint your own pottery. We will provide the bisque ware and you glaze it. We will fire it for you and then you pick it up in less than a week. It is a great activity for the family or a girls night out. Plan a party with Dori and she will make your experience a great one!
We are fully equipped with two working studios with wheels, slab rollers, work tables, extruders, pug mills, glazes, kilns and a whole lot more.
We have a great variety of teachers for you. One who excels at working with kids, One who has over forty years experience in the field and is the owner of the place and a new one with an MFA in ceramics and over 15 years experience teaching at the college level. What a great team we all make to make your experience here exactly what you want it to be.
So many choices when it comes to glazes. You will be able to choose whatever glazes you want to finish your work and how beautiful they look all done. More pictures coming soon!
